CONNECT VILLE - GENERAL REFUND POLICY

1. Introduction & Scope

1.1. This General Refund Policy ("Policy") outlines the terms and conditions regarding refunds for tickets purchased through the Connect Ville platform (the "Platform"), accessible via www.connectville.io and associated applications. Connect Ville (Pvt) Ltd ("Connect Ville," "we," "us," or "our").

1.2. This Policy applies to all users who purchase tickets or registrations ("Attendees," "you," "your") for events listed on the Platform.

1.3. It is crucial to understand that Connect Ville serves two primary functions:
As a technology service provider and ticketing platform for independent event organizers ("Organizers") who publish and manage their own events.
As the producer and organizer of its own events ("Connect Ville Productions").

1.4. The refund process and eligibility differ significantly based on whether the event is organized by a third-party Organizer or is a Connect Ville Production. Please read this Policy carefully.

1.5. This Policy should be read in conjunction with our general Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

2. Events Organized by Third-Party Organizers

2.1. Organizer Responsibility: For all events listed on the Platform that are organized and managed by third-party Organizers, the responsibility for establishing, communicating, and executing a refund policy rests solely with the respective Organizer of that event.

2.2. Connect Ville's Role: In these instances, Connect Ville acts only as a technology service provider and ticketing facilitator. We provide the platform for Organizers to sell tickets and manage their events but do not set or manage the refund policy for their specific events.

2.3. Organizer's Policy: Each Organizer is obligated to clearly communicate their own refund policy to Attendees on their event listing page within the Connect Ville platform or through other direct means. Policies may vary significantly between Organizers and events.

2.4. Refund Requests: If you have purchased a ticket for an event organized by a third-party Organizer and wish to request a refund, you must contact the Organizer directly. Contact information for the Organizer should be available on the event listing page on the Connect Ville platform.

2.5. Connect Ville Limitation: Connect Ville does not process or issue refunds for tickets purchased for events organized by third-party Organizers. Any disputes regarding refunds for such events must be resolved directly between the Attendee and the Organizer. Connect Ville is not liable for any Organizer's failure to adhere to their stated refund policy or to issue refunds.

3. Connect Ville Productions

3.1. General Policy: For events directly produced and managed by Connect Ville ("Connect Ville Productions"), the following policy applies:
All ticket sales are final.
No refunds will be issued for purchased tickets, except under the specific circumstances outlined in Clause 3.2 below.

3.2. Exceptions for Rescheduling or Cancellation by Connect Ville:
Event Cancellation: If a Connect Ville Production is cancelled entirely by Connect Ville and not rescheduled, Attendees who purchased tickets through the Platform will automatically receive a full refund of the ticket face value to the original payment method used for purchase. Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider.

Event Rescheduling: If a Connect Ville Production is rescheduled to a different date or significantly different time by Connect Ville, Attendees will be notified via the email address associated with their purchase. Attendees will typically be offered the option to either:
I. Retain their ticket for the rescheduled date, or
II. Request a full refund of the ticket face value within a specified timeframe (communicated in the notification). Failure to request a refund within the specified timeframe will imply acceptance of the ticket for the rescheduled date.

3.3. No Other Refunds: Refunds for Connect Ville Productions will not be issued for any other reasons, including but not limited to:
Attendee's inability to attend (due to illness, travel issues, change of plans, etc.).
Dissatisfaction with the event, performers, or venue.
Inclement weather (unless it leads to official cancellation/rescheduling by Connect Ville).
Partial performance or changes in the lineup (unless deemed a significant alteration constituting rescheduling by Connect Ville at its sole discretion).

4. Processing Refunds (Where Applicable)

4.1. For eligible refunds related to cancelled or rescheduled Connect Ville Productions (as per Clause 3.2), refunds will typically be processed back to the original payment method within 14-30 business days following the official announcement of cancellation or the closing of the refund request window for rescheduled events.

4.2. Connect Ville is not responsible for refunds related to third-party Organizer events.

6. Policy Modifications

7.1. This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka, consistent with our general Terms & Conditions.
